Brookes Ridge
This project consists of renovation of an existing 8,400 square-foot manor house as well as construction of 11 additional luxury townhouses. The manor house, dating back to the 1930’s, was once owned by former ABC news anchor Howard K. Smith. This imposing structure is three stories tall with five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, and a two-car garage. The renovation included the creation of a new grand staircase, a renovated oval library and master bath with original detailing, creation of a basement wine cellar, a new 250 square-foot kitchen and walk-in pantry, and a new 950 square-foot rear deck with a fire pit facing the Potomac River.
